Our Doulas

Tina and Danielle

Seasoned Doula Teams (51-150 births attended)

Birth and Postpartum Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor
Experience with: unmedicated birth as well as home and hospital births

Tina (she/her) is a full spectrum doula with a focus on birth, and is passionate about abortion, loss, and fertility. She sees the value in understanding someone’s cumulative reproductive journey, while meeting them where they are now. We all have a past that deserves acknowledgment when moving through a life transition as labyrinthian as childbirth + becoming a parent.

Tina has training ranging from hypnobirthing and prenatal yoga, to infant function + structure and lactation counseling. She is a childbirth educator and baby-wearing enthusiast. She can hold a conversation about your innate ability to give birth in an esoteric, spiritually transcendent type of way, and also as a hormonally driven physiological process.

Her goal is to help ensure that your values are being respected by your birth team without judgment. When we feel safe in relationship with our supports, trusting our body becomes more accessible. Tina cares about protecting your agency, whether that means birthing at home, the hospital, medicated, surgical, or in the water. Your enthusiastic consent matters, and she brings the compassion, patience, and reassurance that all women + birthing people ought to have.

Showing up for mothers + parents of all family dynamics, genders, sexuality, + race is how Tina is helping make the world a little bit better. She lives in Brooklyn, with her husband and two cats, dreaming of having their own baby someday.

“Tina & Danielle were my dream team from the minute we connected! Our conversations always felt organic, informative and supportive. I had my ups and downs during the pregnancy and Danielle + Tina were always there to make me feel empowered, confident, and most of all heard. One of their strongest points as duo is their ability to provide exceptional emotional support, they tune into your emotions and know exactly what to say to make you feel heard and navigate ahead. I needed to be prepared for both birth scenarios (vaginal or c-sec) because babe was breech in late 3rd trimester. Danielle + Tina helped me prepare emotionally for both types of birth, they also brought up points/questions for me to ask my midwives which made me feel further confident in the process. They shared beautiful presentations with a lot of information on pre and post birth care, there was no stone left unturned in their content from what healing teas to drink to normalizing emotions that come up during and post pregnancy. For my postpartum care I primarily saw Danielle and she walked in with much presence, care and willingness to help me get through those emotion filled first couple of days. From helping with our daughter’s first bath to answering my tons of questions on breastfeeding to navigating challenging emotions and to rescuing my newly engorged boobs and painful back! I remember sitting in so much pain and Danielle reminding me to breathe and let go while she tirelessly massaged my boobs for 30 minutes if not more to get the milk flowing. She also gives amazing back rubs and is extremely intuitive in releasing your tension points. Tina walked in with vibrant energy and weaved into our sacred postpartum space seamlessly, it was like having a dear friend over who knew exactly how to make you feel good mentally and physically. Hiring them was one of the best decisions I made during this special journey, I highly recommend them!!” -Shikha S.

“Tina prepared herself with a toolbelt of strategies that were invaluable to my birthing experience, covering all bases. In early labor, she sensed my anxiety and immediately proposed solutions that helped it dissolve. She worked so seamlessly with my partner, anticipated thirst, hunger, and each contraction before it came. She teamed with my midwives with confidence and focus.” -CC

“Danielle offered techniques that were extremely helpful in handling the physical and emotional aspects of my labor and birth. Right when she walked in, she somehow immediately found the exact place on my lower back that needed pressure, and applied it expertly. Her proactive support of my husband and son present for the birth was also invaluable. Danielle was honestly the GREATEST help and support during the delivery.” – Joy P. & baby Emma

“Tina gathered intel prior to the birth without seeming like she was trying to, and then she used that intel to help me. She left nourishing food in my fridge and returned just to check in the next day. She was born for this work. She held the space for me during the most wonderful moment of my life. I would wish her upon any womxn.” -MT

“I was so nervous about having an induction, but knew it was necessary for the health of me and my baby. Tina’s warmth in the room colored the experience in a way I would have never expected. I had an empowered birth, regardless of needing to change my birth plan, and Tina was a huge facilitator in helping make that happen.” AP
