Gabrielle (they/she) is a first-generation Liberian, full-spectrum community doula based in Brooklyn. Certified through Ancient Song Inc., Gabrielle is also trained in childbirth education, lactation education, perinatal mood support, abortion care, home birth assistance, and prison doula work.

Gabrielle’s care is rooted in presence, gentleness, and deep listening. They are deeply committed to ensuring families feel held, heard, and never alone, offering steady, grounded support through mindful listening, embodied calm, and practical guidance. Rather than directing or fixing, Gabrielle walks alongside clients, honoring autonomy, dignity, and each person’s lived experience during vulnerable moments.

Their practice is explicitly gender-inclusive and affirming, with a strong commitment to supporting queer individuals, queer families, and immigrant communities, but Gabrielle’s love and practices extends to anyone they come across. Drawing from their Liberian heritage and lived experience, Gabrielle brings cultural sensitivity, respect, and a community-centered approach to care, helping clients feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.

Outside of doula work, Gabrielle is a performance artist who loves to dance and majored in photography at Parsons School of Design.

  • "Gabby was our first doula, and we never expected to feel so comfortable sharing such an intimate experience with someone outside of doctors and family. She blended right in, supporting us and helping make the delivery process as comfortable as possible. She always went the extra mile and was ready to assist at any hour. Her positive energy lifted us on days when we needed it most, and she was consistently informative and communicative throughout the entire journey. We are deeply grateful for her presence and care."

  • "From the moment we met, Gabby was incredibly supportive. She made sure my second birth experience went smoother than my first, and ensured I had all of the information I needed to make informed decisions throughout my pregnancy and birth. She continuously reassured me of my strength and ability to have an unmedicated birth, and she held my hand through every step of the process. Gabby supported me while my husband was away, attended appointments with me, and provided knowledgeable lactation education and emotional support postpartum. She helped me process both of my birth experiences, made me feel deeply heard, and even played gospel music with me to calm my nerves and help me claim my power. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the support I received. Her presence alone made a huge impact."
