When you are adding a new baby to the family, there is a sea of information out there! Our classes were designed to help busy New Yorkers navigate this time with up-to-date, evidence based information.
In our Childbirth Education Intensive, expecting parents learn about: the physiology of labor including the stages and phases, fundamentals of birth, hands-on guidance for comfort measures, common hospital interventions and more. We emphasize informed consent, communication and collaborative care with providers. Having preferences and an understanding of the different ways labor can unfold will help create a more empowering birth experience!
Our Homebirth Prep Class explores all the birth basics as well as helping prepare for a confident homebirth experience! Participants learn about ways to acheive their ideal birth in the comfort of their own space, as well as creating a plan in the case they want or need to transfer to the hospital.
In Infant Care and Feeding, we talk about normal newborn behavior, what to expect immediately after birth as well as the coming weeks. We discuss ways to care for your little one including practicing things like diapering, burping, feeding and swaddling. Leave our class feeling confident in how to best support your baby.
Our signature virtual Grandparents class can help prepare new and experienced grandparents alike! We discuss the ways certain things have changed over the years and how to best support adult children becoming parents themselves.
