Jaye attended her first birth while in college and fell under the birth-spell of life-affirming transformation that is the gift of the work of labor, delivery and the childbearing year.  She has learned from her own reproductive journey much of what she shares as a Perinatal Health Educator.  She lives in South Slope, Brooklyn with her  husband Spike. She has received education and training in  The Manhattan Birth Masters Program where she has trained as an Advanced Holistic, Hospital and Postpartum Doula with The Matrona and as an Integrated Lactation and Feeding Specialist.  Additionally, Jaye is a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor with certifications in CPR, and NRP. Jaye particularly loves the wonder weeks of the 4th trimester, supporting, negotiating and reinforcing with confidence, the overnights and first weeks of newborn care in the ever changing landscape of growing outside of the womb and into your lives as newborn parents.

  • As first-time (type a) parents, I cannot underscore how helpful it was to work with Jaye postpartum. She taught us how to feed and care for our baby, and recommended helpful tools and systems to stay organized and sane. She leads with empathy and patience. She allowed us to get a few nights sleep, which was priceless. Our baby loved Jaye and I cannot thank her enough for helping us ease into our new role as parents! She is a wealth of knowledge and experience!

  • We loved working with Jaye with our first baby for ~6 weeks postpartum. Through a mix of overnights and daytime sessions, she provided calm and gentle guidance, adapting to our needs, which was such a tremendous help those first few months. Jaye was very responsive and flexible to work around our schedule, able to help navigate our baby through any newborn challenge, and helped our baby settle into a great sleep schedule (overcoming day/night confusion along the way). We can't recommend her enough!

  • Aunty Jaye (as we came to call her) exceeded our expectations as a postpartum doula. As first-time parents, we were nervous to bring our little guy home and Jaye was there on the first night. After complications at the hospital, it was such a gift to have someone helping us get comfortable caring for our baby at home. Jaye is an expert problem solver from helping navigate early feeding difficulties to teaching us how to identify our baby's cues. Always reminding us that sometimes we just need to let babies be babies! We highly recommend hiring Jaye to help you become confident and independent parents. We couldn't imagine bringing our son home without her help.

  • Jaye was a wonderful part of our post partum team! She was so knowledgeable and a wonderful presence in our home during those early weeks. We mostly worked with Jaye for overnights, with a few daytime shifts, and she helped us get some much needed rest. She helped us navigate some tricky situations, like mild dehydration for baby, and referred us to a provider for bodywork to help with some feeding issues.
