Kesmeel's early experience learning how to care for families with newborns was rooted in the wisdom passed down by her grandmother. As a young child she remembered spending countless hours watching as she lovingly attended to the needs of newborns and their families.

During her time working as a nanny she became fascinated by the postpartum period which led her on the path to become a postpartum doula and a newborn care specialist. In 2021 she completed her postpartum training through National Black Doulas Association, became a Newborn care Specialist through Newborn care solutions in 2022 and completed Basic of Lactation Management through Lactation Education Resources in 2023. She became a certified Caring for Newborns Trainer in March 2023 and a certified professional nanny in 2022 through The Worker Institute at Cornell, ILR School.

Kesmeel understands the importance of personalized care which has allowed her to witness the transformative journey of parenthood. Her compassionate presence, preparing nutritious meals, supporting safe sleep practices, providing emotional support and newborn care backed by evidence-based information families can embrace the joy and challenges with confidence and peace of mind.

  • “Our experience with Kesmeel was absolutely amazing. She joined us for two weeks as our postpartum support professional when our baby was born, and we were so beyond happy with our time together with her. She is caring , knowledgeable, calm, and an incredible resource for helping parents with little ones. We’re so happy we decided to hire Kesmeel and look forward to staying in touch with her as our little Sophie continues to grow up. We highly recommend her services , any family would be lucky to work with her!”

  • “I get tears in my eyes thinking about how vital Kesmeel was for us as we transition from being parents of one to becoming parents of two. She was calm, energetic, and played a huge part in the early life of our daughter. Kesmeel is super smart, intuitive, gentle, and very organized. I cannot recommend her enough. We all love her to this day!”

  • "Kesmeel Davis is an extraordinary postpartum doula. Not only was she flexible with the time we could work together, but she was so warm and comforting in our home. We worked with her for our second baby and there was so much relief in not needing to explain things in great details - Kesmeel just “gets it” and is clearly experience. She was super soothing both with our baby girl and to mom and dad during such a vulnerable time of transition. I would recommend her to anyone! "

  • "We are so grateful to have worked with Kesmeel in the early days of parenthood. I had some other health challenges going on when I became a new mom, and the night support Kesmeel provided was absolutely vital to our family. We interviewed a dozen care providers and felt immediately comfortable with Kesmeel. We not only got to catch up on precious sleep, we also always learned something key about our baby’s feeding, sleeping, swaddling, you name it. She has a gift for meeting parents (and babies!) where they are, and we would recommend her in a heartbeat."
